Basic Maintenance
One of our favorite words here at M&J, maintenance! Protecting our vehicles from wear is critical for the results we are all looking for from a car: longevity and reliability. The easiest way to preserve these qualities is to adhere to your maintenance schedule. Every fluid and wear-component on your vehicle has a lifespan! Over time and through general use, fluids break down and parts wear out. Give your car the privilege of being maintained by us! Each vehicle service includes a multi-point inspection to bring you up to speed with what your car may need. Full vehicle inspections are available to be scheduled as well.
Some basic maintenance services we offer include:
- Fluid exchanges such as differential, transfer case, brake fluid, engine oil and coolant
- Brake and rotor replacement with caliper servicing
- Engine and cabin air filters, wiper blades, bulb/lamp replacement
- Tune-ups/spark plug and wire replacement
- Drive and accessory belts
- Wheel bearing services
- Battery and starter replacement
Advanced Maintenance
Inevitably, the components that live a little deeper than our more exterior cousins like belt and spark plugs require replacement as well. The surfaces on our cars which seal together or incorporate rubbers and silicones with grease degrade due to consistent exposure to high heat and petroleum based fluids, as well as constant movement and friction. These items are still considered maintenance, they just generally last longer than your basic maintenance items.
Some examples of deeper maintenance services we offer include:
- Worn steering and suspension components
- Leaking seals such as valve covers and pan/cover gaskets
- CV axle replacement
- U-joints, axle seals, output shaft seals
- Water pump/cooling system
- Motor/transmission mounts
- Hoses/lines (i.e. power steering hoses)
Diagnostics
We offer a broad spectrum of diagnostics for your vehicle as experienced technicians right in your driveway. Outside of basic maintenance, the solution to every problem you may experience begins with a diagnosis. Whether your vehicle has developed a fluid leak or your air conditioning system is not performing as well as it should be, taking the proper steps to pinpoint what fault is causing the malfunction is necessary for the proper repair.
